Ezequiel Saferstein
Researcher of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research at the Interdisciplinary School of High Social Studies, National University of San Martín, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ezequiel Saferstein holds a PhD in Social Sciences and a BA in Sociology from the University of Buenos Aires and a MA in Sociology of Culture and Cultural Analysis from the National University of San Martín. He teaches Sociology (UBA), the Master in Sociology of Culture (EIDAES/UNSAM) and the PhD in Social Sciences (UBA). His research topics are directed towards the study of the relationship between culture and politics, focusing on the transformations of the Argentine and Latin American publishing space in recent decades, the role of publishers and their modes of cultural, political and economic intervention. He participates in research groups and funded projects related to the study of the publishing field, cultural production in general and social transformations related to the cultural sphere in contemporary society. He has published articles in national and international refereed scientific journals, book chapters and participates in congresses and scientific meetings. His first book is entitled ¿Cómo se fabrica un best seller político? La trastienda de los éxitos editoriales y su capacidad de intervenir en la agenda pública [How is a political bestseller made? The behind-the-scenes of publishing successes and their ability to intervene in the public agenda.] (Siglo Veintiuno, 2021)..
