Brianna Castro

Brianna Castro (Ph.D., Harvard University) is a sociologist committed to equitable adaptation and conservation in a changing climate. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Climate Studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, USA. Her research specializes in climate change adaptation and migration. Her current work examines how climate change impacts and sustainability transitions impact individuals’ daily adaptation decisions. She has worked with The Roosevelt Project, the First Street Foundation Flood Lab, and the Harvard Mellon Urban Initiative. Her research can be found in Global Environmental Change, International Journal of Urban and Regional Research, Ethnic and Racial Studies, and Ecology and Society.
